Megan Vu is the Director of Central Accounting Operations for the County of Orange Auditor-Controller’s department. She leads seven units – Claims and Disbursing, Cost Revenue and Budget, Financial Reporting, General Accounting, Payroll, Property Tax, and the Orange County Oversight Board – that help keep the County’s finances running smoothly and accurately. From making sure employees and vendors get paid on time to closing the books. Megan and her team handle many of the essential behind-the-scenes operations that support County services.
Megan began her career with the County in June 1997 and has grown professionally within the Central Operations division ever since. Before becoming Director, she served as the Accounting and Reporting Manager. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and MBA from California State University, Long Beach, and is also a licensed CPA.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys quality time with her family and friends, unwinding with a good book, and working on craft projects.
