The Information Technology Unit also manages the County’s highly automated, internally developed, custom Property Tax System (PTS) which administers the County’s property taxes. PTS is critical to operations as it is used to process over $9 billion in taxes annually as well as apportions property taxes and special assessments to the County, cities, school districts, community colleges, redevelopment trust funds, and special districts.
These systems are a vital component of the County’s infrastructure. Systems Operations takes the lead in system developments to increase considerable support to the County’s upgrade efforts.
